Coffee Cayenne Meat Rub
This rub gives a real zip to ordinary burgers. It's great on beef and venison. From Cheryl Hill-Burrier's article Wanna Fork with that Coffee?
• 1-1/2 teaspoons finely ground coffee • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper • 1-1/2 teaspoon paprika • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin • 1-1/2 teaspoon brown sugar • 1 teaspoon salt • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes enough for 4 burgers.
